Officially on March 7, 1999, although the site went online on February 11, 1999 with a few features in a trial mode. For more details, read our history.

Who runs the site?

The site was founded by Illya D'Addezio, who handles the management of the site, and is assisted by a great team of volunteers and freelancers in the creation of the original content.

How often does the site change?

Each of the features has a different schedule. Some are updated daily, others weekly, monthly, etc. The interactive features are updated whenever someone contributes information.

Does this site have a Privacy Policy?

What kind of traffic does GenealogyToday.com get?

We do not disclose that information.

Is this site owned by MyFamily.com (i.e. Ancestry.com)?

No. This site is owned by Genealogy Today LLC, a privately held New Jersey company. Illya is the principal owner.

Why are there links to Ancestry.com and other pay sites?

Much of the funding for Genealogy Today is derived from affiliate relationships with other companies. Maintaining these relationships allows Genealogy Today to remain a FREE site.
