A Trip to the Goodwill
by Judy Sander Cockrell
We've all taken a trip to our local Disabled Veterans or Goodwill store at one time or another, and if you really love to dig for treasures, you would may very well qualify to be
a "junk store addict."
The old adage, someones junk is anothers treasure, might certainly be the case here.
I have been rummaging through my local thrift stores for years now, sometimes I emerge with
just a comfy t-shirt, other times I find a wonderful old frame, or book to further my family genealogy. I have never spent more than
a single ten dollar bill on any given trip.
The deals are just waiting to be found!! In fact, one of the most valuable items the antiques roadshow has every seen was purchased in a thrift store for less than $10.00.
Now, if you find it more difficult to get away from the house, or just want a little more "junque" variety... never fear!!! You can now shop at goodwill stores all over the country, and keep that dust out of your nose, and your neighbors nose out of your business!!! Goodwill Stores of America are now online!
Go check out the following site, who knows?
You may find Uncle Roland or Aunt Sarah waiting in the parlor for you!
